About Experience Memphis Gardens

Fresh off being named America’s Best Garden Walk 2026, Experience Memphis Gardens (EMG) is one of the largest and most unique garden tourism events in the Mid-South.

Organized by the Cooper-Young Garden Club, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Experience Memphis Gardens was created to celebrate, champion, and cultivate the remarkable green spaces that make Memphis bloom. Our mission is to inspire residents and visitors alike while positioning Memphis as a premier garden tourism destination.

What began as a neighborhood garden walk has grown into a citywide celebration of beauty, creativity, sustainability, and community pride. Through the gardens we showcase, we encourage visitors to discover new neighborhoods, connect with fellow garden lovers, and return home inspired to create more beautiful outdoor spaces of their own.

The 2027 Experience Memphis Gardens tour is a seven-week journey through the Greater Memphis region, featuring hundreds of public and private gardens, community and school gardens, urban farms, business landscapes, cut flower farms, aquaponics systems, specialty plant collections, and even a railroad garden.

Visitors will experience gardens of every style and size—from intimate urban retreats and charming cottage gardens to expansive country properties and extraordinary collector gardens. Along the way, they will meet passionate gardeners, learn innovative ideas, discover sustainable practices, and explore the diverse landscapes that make Memphis an unexpectedly vibrant gardening destination.
