Cultivating Beauty, Growing Community!
Experience Memphis Gardens (EMG) is organized by the Cooper-Young Garden Club (CYGC), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. EMG seeks to celebrate, champion and cultivate Memphis’ private/public green spaces and make Memphis a premier garden tourist destination. The aim is to create a celebratory atmosphere, educate, and inspire visitors to make their own outdoor spaces beautiful.
The 2026 City Wide Garden Walk is a “must attend” 7 week summer garden event for garden lovers across the Mid-South and beyond. Visitors will tour public/private gardens, business gardens, community gardens, cut flower farms, aquaponics, and a railroad garden, to name a few. Gardens of all styles and sizes are included, ranging from intimate urban retreats to sprawling country gardens, from sophisticated plant collections to exuberant displays of old favorites.
The Tour Begins
The 4th annual EMG Tours runs May 1 thru June 14, 2026, featuring over 280+ private, public, community, and school gardens across Greater Memphis. The 10th Annual Signature Cooper-Young Garden Walk, May 16-17, 2026, includes gardens, vendors, and the Backbeat Shuttle bus driving around the vibrant, historic neighborhood.
Walks & Events
The EMG event continues through June 2026, with city-wide garden walks and events, occurring throughout Memphis. The gardens are open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
